Gaby Sanchez and his wife Judy Sanchez, a Miami Herald sports reporter, were married on January 9, 2010. Judy’s maiden name was Erwin. Judy traveled with Gaby Sanchez to his first All-Star Game in Phoenix, and is writing a blow by blow recap of their time together. It’s a great read from someone actually experiencing the hoopla this week.

Aside from her almost diary style entries on the trip to Phoenix, we have to ask the question. Is it journalistically ethical to have a wife at least partially covering her husband’s team? There is nothing to indicate she’s been nothing other than fair and impartial, and this is in no way a commentary against Judy, but what if something nefarious did come up? Could we trust all parties to recuse herself and allow others to handle impartially?

Chris Synder’s wife Carla Synder was involved in a road-rage incident on June 15 with Subhash Modhwadia. A judge has recently ruled that Modhwadia is to stand trial for charges including aggravated assault and criminal mischief. The 44 year-old Modhwadia was riding a scooter when he was involved in a near collision with Carla Synder. Sounds pretty harmless right? This is where it gets crazy. Apparently Modhwadia was pretty angry about the fact that he wasn’t actually involved in a collision with an SUV and proceeded to follow Synder to a parking lot where he kicked the car and then took a swing at her. As if this wasn’t bad enough, Chris Synder’s children, ages 4 and 6, were also in the car during the altercation. Apparently Chris Synder was actually in passenger seat of the SUV at the time and wasn’t able to defend his wife because of recent back surgery. I have to think that his pain level was pretty high to actually prevent him from intervening while a man tried to punch his wife.

UPDATE 11-24-2014 Congratulations are in order for Andre McCutchen’s wife Maria McCutchen.

The couple was married on November 22, which aligns nicely with Andrew’s jersey number (which is 22). With McCutchen safe to avoid the drama of hot stove season, the couple is safe to jet out on what’s sure to be a luxury honeymoon.

If there’s any question as to whether Andrew McCutchen’s wife would take the McCutchen name – it’s already official on her Twitter account – Maria McCutchen.

Congrats to the newlyweds.

The Home Run Derby is becoming an increasingly polarizing event. The exhibition has its fans and supporters, but there are plenty on the other side of the fence arguing that it actually hinders a players second half performance. While empirical data has indicated that a player taking part in the derby is equally as likely to meet or exceed his first half performance in the second half as he is to drop off the table, plenty of fans only those that fall off the table. They argue that the derby messes with a player’s rhythm and changes his swing as he attempts to put on a show for his fans. They are quick to cite examples like Bobby Abreu’s 2005 derby championship when he dropped from 18 home runs in the first half to 6 in the second.

So where the hell are we headed with all this?

Andrew McCutchen was ready to say no to competing the derby when captain Matt Kemp tapped the Pirates star to take part, but was only convinced into it at the coaxing of his girlfriend. Andrew McCutchen’s girlfriend, Maria Hanslovan, talked him into it by reminding him it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, something he admits he never expected to be a part of. McCutchen talked to WPXI in Pittsburgh:

“You look at the guys who are in the Home Run Derby, and they’re guys who hit 40, 50 home runs. They’re big guys. They’re guys that can drive the ball 500 feet. I’m not the person who’s going to hit a ball 500 feet. It’s just not going to happen. I can hit some home runs, just not that far. I never thought I’d be in a Home Run Derby. Ever.”

It’s an admittedly tough position for Hanslovan to be placed in, as rabid fans longing for success may be quick to point the finger in the unlikely event that McCutchen goes all Abreu on us. She’s already faced an admittedly difficult time in Pittsburgh after riling up the Steel City following Steelers 2012 loss to the Tebow led Broncos in the playoffs. The crowd got so worked up that McCutchen had to step in on Twitter to ask for them to chill out:

I suppose if things go awry in the second half, McCutchen won’t be shy to step in a second time if need be. For her sake, for his fantasy owner’s sake, for the fans sake, and for Andre McCutchen’s sake…. let;s hope there’s no need.

As the first overall pick of the 2011 MLB Draft, Gerrit Cole is the visage of optimism for a long suffering Pirates fan base whose big league debut is being met with much hype and anticipation. With enough pressure already thrown atop the 22 year old, there’s probably not a whole lot else which could add to his anxiety, but it also can’t help to know you’ll be squaring off against a man who may be your future brother in law.

In this case, Gerrit Cole’s girlfriend Amy Crawford is the sister of San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford against whom Cole squares off against tonight. Both Cole and Amy Crawford were pitchers at UCLA, with Crawford obviously pitching for the softball team. After graduating a couple years ago, Amy will be able to attend her boyfriend’s debut against her brother, despite her old UCLA Bruins softball team heading off to the College World Series. Amy was a sociology major who graduated in 2011, who also listed Will Smith after favorite actor, Friends as her favorite TV Show, and Oceans 11, 12 & 13 as her favorite movies.

As for allegiances – for once, it doesn’t appear to be a totally split decision. Amy didn’t mind announcing by Twitter that she’ll be sitting in the home section with the other Pirates wives when Cole toes the rubber for the first time. Fortunately, she can revert back to her Giants allegiance after the game as an October meeting is unlikely between the two squads for this season.

The baseball universe is a small world. We’ve seen it recently with Yasiel Puig’s girlfriend Nicole Chaves being the daughter of a Dodgers exec. And in the case of Pedro Alvarez’s wife Keli Alvarez (formerly Keli Elizabeth Murphy), the baseball universe buds romance again. Keli is the daughter of Pat Murphy, longtime baseball coach, and currently the manager of the Tucson Padres, San Diego’s AAA affiliate and former head coach of Arizona State University.

Pedro and Keli Alvarez were married in January, 2011 at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Nashville, TN. They were introduced through mutual friends while Pedro’s Vanderbilt team squared off against Pat Murphy’s ASU squad, which also happened to be where Keli was going to school. After graduating, Keli took an athletic training internship at Vanderbilt (one may infer to be closer to Pedro) The couple has a publicly posted wedding page where Pedro explains what Keli means to him:

I am so blessed to be with an angel like Keli. She is who i think about at all times of the day, she always manages to put a smile on my face and she is my rock that keeps me strong. I love this woman and i cant wait to spend the rest of my life with her.

Now that we’ve discussed this relationship a little bit, I need to ask a question about Pedro. Honestly now, raise your hand if you knew that Pedro Alvarez grew up in New York City. OK, everyone with your hand up is a liar. While Pedro was born in the Dominican Republic, he grew up in Washington Heights in New York – and I cannot actually explain why this is so off the charts shocking to me. I think it likely has something to do with Matthew Berry’s impression of Pedro Alvarez on the ESPN Fantasy Focus Podcast…. “It’s a me-uhhh,… Pedro Alvarez!!!” OK, I’m done rambling.

Francisco Liriano has come back in a big way. After years of tantalizing promise and nails-on-a-chalkboard irritating injury history, Liriano’s name has often exceeded results. 2013 was a return to prime time for Liriano, which is lucky considering that he almost lost the entire season before it ever began.

In Feburary, Liriano was playing with his kids – ages 3 and 5 – and tried to startle them. However, something quickly went wrong, and Liriano felt a sharp pain in his arm. Francisco Liriano’s wife Johanna Liriano quickly rushed him to the hospital, where he found out he broke his non-pitching arm. The Pirates tore up a 2 year agreement and negotiated a one year deal with the ace, who has gone out and earned a lot more than that second year would have earned him. What once looked like terrible news has worked out well, though I’m sure the Pirates have no issues with this trade off given what he’s brought to the bump this season and in the NL Wild Card Game.

As we mentioned, Francisco and Johanna Liriano have two sons, and a third child (a daughter) due in December.

Tony Watson’s wife Cassie Watson is part of the couple’s leadership council. What’s a leadership council, you might ask? Well, to get the bottom of that one, we have to travel to Pittsburgh and go straight into the Pirates’ locker room, where only the most esteemed members of the team are chosen for the job.

According to triblive.com, this leadership council is voted on by the players. It’s a small group of players, and each one represents a part of the team. So for instance, there’s a guy representing relief pitchers, a guy representing starting pitchers, a guy representing regular players. The first council did not include Watson, but he’s since been upgraded to councilman. They get together from time to time and talk about how to make the team better. You know, it sounds an awful lot like a coaching staff. Do the Pittsburgh Pirates not have coaches and a manager? Last I checked, they did. The whole thing sounds completely redundant and unnecessary, but I guess the players in Pittsburgh are bored and want to make seniority amongst themselves official. By the way, there is no leadership council between Tony and Cassie, in case you couldn’t guess by now.

Tony’s been throwing some absolute smoke this year. He’s an all-star for the first time, and his record is now at 5-1 with an extremely impressive 1.42 ERA. He throws some nice heat- generally upwards of 95 and 96 mph, and he’s got great placement. It was a longtime struggle for Tony to make his way into the Majors. He was drafted in 2007 but had to drudge through years of playing inconsistent ball in the minors. His first good year came in 2012. Man, if you love baseball, you stick around and play it no matter what. He played 41 innings for the Pirates in 2011 after four years in the minors, then he got sent down to AAA for 34 more innings, and then finally he was planted on the Pirates relief roster for good.

Josh Harrison’s wife Brittney Harrison just gave birth last year to their daughter Mia, and Josh posted some pictures of her birthday celebration in February, which seemed a tad elaborate for a 1 year-old, but hey maybe it’ll get filed into her subconscious. Josh and Brittney also partake in the lovely trips to Cabo which have become pretty widespread among athletes. The percentage of baseball players choosing Cabo over other tropical destinations is pretty high recently, and I’m sure Cabo ain’t complaining.

Both Josh and and Josh Harrison’s wife Brittney Harrison are really religious, and they do a bunch of charity events as all good athletes should. One such event had Josh’s name on it and was held as an auction and conversation with Josh at Morton’s Steak House in Pittsburgh. The couple also put in time at the Pittsburgh food bank on occasion. That’s pretty cool– a professional ballplayer who goes to the food bank to help serve food to people down on their luck. The couple has also shipped off to Jamaica a few years back, but generally they just like to get out a lot and do as many charity and foundation events as possible. They have one of the highest attendance records for these type of things of any athlete on the Pirates, as far as I can tell.

Brittney tweeted a picture of her holding what looks like a baby cheetah, so you know they’re still doing all the activity-based stuff that young couples do. I guess going to the zoo is something every couple should experience. Brittney was also lucky enough to get an All-Star red carpet dress made for her by Nicole Miller for some kind of official function associated with the game, and man did she look good in it. This is definitely a stylish couple. Josh’s brother is a barber and gives him cuts sometimes too.

Starling Marte’s wife Noelia Marte gave birth to a healthy young son in September of 2013, so ever since then she’s been as busy as you could expect a young mother to be with a little tyke. Noelia is from the Dominican Republic just like Starling, and in the same year that Noelia gave birth to their son, they traveled to a special award ceremony in Santo Domingo to receive a custom-made plaque from the mayor of the city. It’s a pretty charmed life if you have got the skillset that Mr. Marte possesses.

Starling Marte’s wife Noelia Marte still lives in the Dominican Republic at least part of the time, from my understanding, and the two met through one of Starling’s cousins. According to a Pittsburgh paper, Noelia and Starling’s son is named Starling Jr., and he also spends most of his time in the Dominican. Noelia has a degree in general accounting that she attained in Santo Domingo, and she’s a religious lady just like her husband. Incidentally, the story of her husband’s recruitment is a fairly standard scout’s tale.

According to a scout named Rene Gayo of the Pirates organization, he was passed on at the age of 18 as a short-stop because he had some timing issues. Gayo said he wasn’t very good at it, but they tried him out in left-field, and they saw what a cannon he has for an arm. They also saw a good hitter with incredible base-running speed. That was enough for Gayo to offer Starling’s manager 75 grand and give him a shot at being a professional in America. It’s been a great change for Starling Marte’s wife Noelia Marte too. They both grew up in extremely challenging poverty the likes of which very few Americans are exposed to. You can imagine what a step up it’s been for their budding family.

Mark Melancon’s wife Mary Melancon gave Mark a scare years back when he was first traded from Houston to Boston. According to MLB.com, Mark wsa hanging out on a Cancun beach with his uncle when his wife Mary came up to him with a freaky look on her face like something bad had happened. Mark said, “I hadn’t seen a face like that from her since Brooklyn’s been around. I just figured something was wrong and she needed help.” Well, something wasn’t wrong per se, but if you don’t like moving and selling your house, then something’s definitely a pain in the ass. At least their daughter was alright. Mary told Mark he’d been traded, and I imagine he felt relieved. Who even likes living in Houston?

Mark and Mary have since had another child, this time a son. He’s still wheeling around in a stroller, and Brooklyn now looks like she’s about 5 years old. They were all hanging together at the All-Star Game. Mary’s days are spent, as you might have guessed, taking care of her kids, and she’s most certainly Mark’s biggest fan and a huge Pirates fan. What you might also like to know as it pertains to her and sports is that she’s a big Notre Dame fan as well. She attended the school back in the day. A few years ago, when Mark was headed to the All-Star game as a replacement, he and Mary had to take a rented mini-van to the game along with his mom and dad. The league basically said fend for yourself if you want to play, but they didn’t really care. Who wants to take a plane from Pittsburgh to New York anyway? Well, I guess I would have but I’ve driven between those two cities before, and it’s a very scenic and lovely trip– much nicer than Boston to New York.

One other cool thing Mary and Mark did together was travel to South Africa as a representative of Major League Baseball there for two weeks. At one point they visited a kind of preserve place where Mark Melancon’s wife got to hang out with a cheetah. They took a pretty awesome picture with her putting her paw on Mark’s knee and Mark having his hand on the big cat’s shoulder. You got to love photo-friendly cheetahs. They happened to have arrived a day or two after Nelson Mandela passed away, so it was definitely a time when the country was mourning, and they witnessed first-hand how much he meant to the country.

Neil Walker’s wife Niki Walker married him in 2011, and the couple attended Travis Snider’s wedding in December of last year, in Cabo San Lucas, where Travis Snider’s wife is from. I’m not entirely sure where they live in the offseason, but Neil and Niki seem to spend a lot of time in Vail, Colorado. That could have something to do with Niki being born in Colorado and growing up there. She loves hiking and being outdoors, and she was proud to attend a game between the Pirates and the Rockies a year ago, explaining that she was “back to where I was born.”

Neil Walker’s wife Niki lives with him in a suburb outside of Pittsburgh, and judging by the views that she’s shared on the net, it’s a pretty nice place. She likes to hang out in nature the same way she does when she’s in Colorado, and she’s found herself a beautiful waterfall to lounge around. Neil and Niki have a pet Australian Shepard named Oliver that they love, and Niki was happy to introduce Oliver to his sister after randomly sitting next to the owner at a Pirates game. They apparently started talking about the fact that they both owned “Aussies,” and they realized the birthdays of their dogs were the same, and then they realized they were siblings. That’s a pretty intense coincidence; perhaps the guy in charge of the seating at the PIrates game was having a laugh.

One of the great pleasures that Neil Walker’s wife Niki experienced in the past two years was traveling to Paris, France and seeing all the beautiful sights and sounds that city has to offer. I’ve seen it time and time again– pictures of players and their wives with the great city of Paris as the backdrop. It’s almost like a rite of passage a baseball couple has to go through to take their relationship to the next level. Niki went to Notre Dame, the Louvre, and even got out to Versailles with her man to see how the royalty of France used to live back in the day. Her lifestyle’s not really going to match that kind of opulence, but she’s got it made being married to a talented Pittsburgh Pirate in the prime of his career!

Francisco Cervelli’s girlfriend Patricia De Leon is actually his ex-girlfriend. Patricia, a well-known actress and television host from the Central American country of Panama (known for Panama Canal fame), and the Pirates backstop broke up a couple years ago. Panama is a pretty dangerous country to visit right now, but I’m sure they’d treat Patricia De Leon like absolute royalty there, as she was crowned Miss Panama 1995 and then went on to start an acting and modeling career. She’s been a famous person in Central America for a long time, but we don’t really know her because she never broke into the American entertainment industry in the same way.

Nevertheless, the woman formerly known as Francisco Cervelli’s girlfriend is an attractive and charismatic woman. She’s still frequently featured on the covers and pages of Latin-American magazines and always manages time to snap some photos with her two favorite doggy pals, Chico and Bella, two Pomeranians. They were not on hand for her summer trip to Madrid this year, but who wants to travel with two puffy furballs? Having lived in Madrid for a few months, it was nice to see that Patricia appreciates some of the finer cultural sites the city has to offer such as La Reina Sofia, a large and prominent art museum which house a huge collection of Picasso paintings. Now, I’m not entirely certain how Mr. Cervelli came to split with Patricia, but she’s certainly still keeping very busy with herself and her intense traveling and modeling schedule. She’s 38 years-old and seems to be as in-demand as ever.

I still don’t recognize any of the Latin-American beauty and fashion magazines that Francisco Cervelli’s ex-girlfriend Patricia De Leon has been featured on, but I might not even recognize them if they were American magazines so it’s probably just as well. Some of the notable covers include Vos, Show, Debut, and Blush. She seems to take pictures with recognizable American film and tv actors on occasion as well. I’ve seen her in snaps with Antonio Banderas and Mark Harmon. She may have even been in an episode of NCIS. Why else would she be hanging around the set? One other thing about Patricia that you’d notice in photographs of her with other ladies is that she’s extraordinarily tall. She towers over women of average height, and I’d estimate her to be at least 6’0″.

Ah, to be a Venezuelan baseball star. Francisco Cervelli’s girlfriend Migbelis Castellanos picks up where his ex-girlfriend, Patricia De Leon, leaves off. As you may or may not know, Patrica De Leon was a beauty queen from Panama. Well, Migbelis is Miss Venezuela 2013. So not only is she way younger than Patricia, but she’s from Francisco’s home country. Score! I wonder how Patricia felt when she learned he was dating her. If I was Miss Panama 1995 I’d be seething with either rage or sadness or both, but I don’t have all that much congeniality.

Francisco Cervelli’s girlfriend Migbelis is really pretty. I don’t understand how to translate her name to an English equivalent, but I think Francisco probably just ends up called her “Mig” or “Miggy” or something like that. She’s managed to rack up some 641,000 followers on her Instagram, and since she’s so young and peppy, I predict she’ll eventually hit the 1,000,000 mark. I guess Francisco is a big deal in Venezuela and that’s how he managed to land this beauty queen, but then again he’s a pro baseball player so he’s already go a leg up on the competition. However way you slice it, she’s hot, and I can tell she’s got an awesome, fun personality. They don’t hand out beauty queen crowns in Venezuela on looks alone. You’ve gotta have that extra spice.

Migbelis managed to get herself on the cover of some Latin-American magazine called Tendencia, which means “trend.” I’m assuming that’s a pretty big deal in Venezuela and wherever else it’s sold (probably other countries in that region). She was also featured in a magazine called Aguapanela, which I have no idea how to translate again. It’s still a big deal, people. In fact, she was representing some sort of fashion night event for the same magazine on several occasions, so my guess is she had a kind promotional deal worked out with them.

Sean Rodriguez’ wife Giselle Rodriguez had her fourth child with him last year. The kid is named Zekiel, and I’m curious if they’re going to keep the kid train right on moving. Raising four kids when their dad is so often traveling is a huge task, but the couple at least has the means for help. That’s fortunate for them now that they are in Pittsburgh, but what will they do when Sean inevitably gets traded to some faraway land? Mine as well move the parents with them, right? I could be wrong about their parents living nearby but it’s unlikely they had the help when they were in Tampa.

These two seem like a cool couple– the kind of people you’d want to hang out with in Pittsburgh. Man, Florida was a damn nice place to play baseball (at least before it gets too summery). Maybe that actually means it’s not that nice to play there since it gets so hot and humid in the summer. The move might be a welcome one, the more I think about Florida and all its boring strip malls. Sean Rodriguez’ wife Giselle Rodriguez is a dedicated mother and frequently shares photos of her kids doing various activities. I believe they have a total of two boys and two girls, and she still finds time to do fun activities like horseback riding. She takes some or all of the kids to a bunch of Sean’s baseball games, and she did the same when they lived in Pittsburgh. For some summer fun this year, Giselle took her kids to a fun park called Seven Springs, and I think Sean may have went to since it was tagged as an “off day.” They all went tubing but without the water.

On Valentine’s Day of this year, Sean Rodriguez’ wife got to spend time with Sean and the kids at Disney World. Every time I see that castle I want to go back. The kids got to meet Belle from “Beauty and The Beast,” and they also hung out with Mickey and Minnie. Back when the couple lived in Tampa, it was not uncommon for them to visit Disney World on a whim and go on a date night alone, as they did when they went to Epcot for the food and wine festival. I’m surprised at how active this couple is for having so many kids. They bring them everywhere most of the time too! I guess they just really enjoy having a family and doing family stuff.

Charlie Morton’s wife Cindy Morton just gave birth to their second child this year. The birth put Cindy mostly out of action for a good six-weeks, limiting her movement. Their older son, Cam, is now around two years of age. The birth coincided with some surgeries that Charlie himself had to go through to help out his pitching mechanics.

Charlie’s known Cindy for a long time, and they’ve been together since at least 2009. Charlie Morton’s wife was pictured all the way back then at a Pirates Casino night. The couple were married in 2012 after almost five years, so I think they’ve known each other since about 2008. The forums from all the way back in August of 2008 state that she was his girlfriend then, so they may have known each other even further back. It’s been a long road for them, but at least they haven’t had to move too much. They’ve been in Pittsburgh since 2009. Since they’ve been together, the couple has had a lot of involvement with community and charity organizations. They also formed something called Morton’s Military Initiative, which is meant to strengthen the morale of the military community. The idea is to provide money to purchase cool stuff for troops stationed in the Middle East. Seems like a nice idea.

Cindy was spotted in 2011 collecting donations for UNICEF after the big tsunami in Japan. She’s also done various stuff with the Pirates wives over the years, and I’m guessing she’s good friends with a lot of them who’ve been able to stick around as long as she has. At a certain point after you’ve put down roots, it must be a real drag to have to move. I feel like living in the home town of the sports team you play for is sort of a necessity, however. That’s just the baseball life.

Travis Snider’s wife Isabel Snider is a lovely Latina who enjoys tropical weather and beachy views as much as the next player wife and maybe more. She’s originally from Mexico, and she hails specifically from Cabo San Lucas, making her a Choyera. Based on a Twitter photograph on her profile, I believe the couple was married on Baja California and possibly in her home town. Baja California is a pretty nice place, from what I gather, and I don’t see any reason someone would want to move away from there even after marrying a professional baseball player.

The couple did spent a significant portion of their summer in New York City this year, and Travis Snider’s girlfriend said her favorite view of the city was from inside Central Park around the Jackie Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, looking out at the skyline. I’ve been there a number of times, and I’ve got to concur with Miss Snider that it’s a nice spot. Hopefully it won’t be blanketed by the shadows of the giant, skinny condo complexes they’ve been erecting lately. Isabel also shared her diet and supplements that she packs for road trips that she goes on with Travis. Boy oh boy does she have a restrictive diet, and I can see how disciplined hot, skinny chicks have to be to stay so skinny. Her road trip lasted eight days, and she said it’s “tough to follow a diet and be disciplined while living in a hotel room and being at the ballpark every night during dinner time.” That must get pretty brutal when you’re trying to keep the pounds off.

Isabel and Travis happened to make a trip to the Super Bowl this year in Arizona, and they’re Seahawks fans. Travis Snider’s wife Isabel was also treated to the exotic vacation trip to Bora Bora, which happened to be their honeymoon spot. They were married sometime around the end of 2014, and Isabel was super excited to be Travis’ new wife and take in the rays from that tropical paradise. Although, it sort of seems like the same exact vibe you’d experience in Cabo San Lucas if you were from there, but a change of venue for a tropical paradise is always nice.

Jeff Locke’s girlfriend Celine MacClean has one of those really memorable, rhyming, cool names that may even exceed her actual level of coolness. Rather than being a cool customer, though, she’s a very nice lady and she keeps up with all of her friends. She made a lot of buddies with the Pirates wives and girlfriends, and I saw a picture of her hanging with all of them outside the team shop at PNC Park. A huge number of the Pirate wives and girlfriends also hung out together in Napa Valley and took a picture at the vineyards. It’s a pretty good deal to get travel to a place like Napa Valley with people who are all in the same boat as you.

Jeff and Celine also recently welcomed in the “baby trainer,” a little puppy. Jeff Locke’s girlfriend shares all kinds of growing-up pictures of their bulldog. They got her in November of 2014 and she’s pretty much fully grown now. I never figured out what the dog’s name is, but I’m a fan of bulldogs because they’re goofy looking and make funny faces. Celine also shared a picture of her mother, Josie, who passed away some time ago, and all of her family friends and relatives commented that they see her in Celine and that her memory lives on through her. It was a bit of a touching thing and a nice tribute from her family.

Celine attained a master’s and clinical fellowship of speech-language pathology in 2013. In a nutshell, I think this means she’s qualified to help people who have problems speaking or have breathing or swallowing disorders. She understands a lot about how words and phrases are formed, and it’s a very specific masters to achieve, so she’s clearly got her sights aimed at that one field. Jeff Locke’s girlfriend Celine is originally from Maine, so living in Pittsburgh is a good distance away from her family. Her dad and brother came out to congratulate her on her masters when that happened. I’m not sure if she’s a pathologist right now, but I’m fairly certain she didn’t spend all that time for nothing.

Congratulations are in order for Andrew McCutchen’s wife Maria McCutchen. The couple was married on November 22, which aligns nicely with Andrew’s jersey number (which is 22). With McCutchen safe to avoid the drama of hot stove season, the couple is safe to jet out on what’s sure to be a luxury honeymoon. If there’s any question as to whether Andrew McCutchen’s wife would take the McCutchen name – it’s already official on her Twitter account – Maria McCutchen.

Andrew McCutchen is the best baseball player you probably don’t know and arguably one of the best 5 players in the league. While there was no doubt that he’d be headed to Kansas City to take part in the annual All Star game, people were very surprised to see him as a late replacement for the injured Giancarlo Stanton in the Home Run Derby.

Andrew McCutchen was ready to say no to competing the derby when captain Matt Kemp tapped the Pirates star to take part, but was only convinced into it at the coaxing of his girlfriend. Andrew McCutchen’s girlfriend (at the time), Maria Hanslovan, talked him into it by reminding him it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, something he admits he never expected to be a part of. McCutchen talked to WPXI in Pittsburgh:

“You look at the guys who are in the Home Run Derby, and they’re guys who hit 40, 50 home runs. They’re big guys. They’re guys that can drive the ball 500 feet. I’m not the person who’s going to hit a ball 500 feet. It’s just not going to happen. I can hit some home runs, just not that far. I never thought I’d be in a Home Run Derby. Ever.”

It’s an admittedly tough position forAndrew McCutchen’s wife to be placed in, as rabid fans longing for success may be quick to point the finger in the unlikely event that McCutchen goes all Abreu on us. She’s already faced an admittedly difficult time in Pittsburgh after riling up the Steel City following Steelers 2012 loss to the Tebow led Broncos in the playoffs. The crowd got so worked up that McCutchen had to step in on Twitter to ask for them to chill out:

I suppose if things go awry in the second half, McCutchen won’t be shy to step in a second time if need be. For her sake, for his fantasy owner’s sake, for the fans sake, and for Andre McCutchen’s sake…. let;s hope there’s no need.

Tyler Glasnow’s girlfriend Brooke Register is a marvelous young model. It’s difficult not to marvel at her in her photographs because she just looks so good. Brooke has a lot of freckles that give her a down-to-earth quality. You don’t want models to look to airbrushed, and freckles humanize her. Brooke refers to Tyler as a best friend forever since they apparently get along famously. As you might imagine, Brooke does a lot of bikini and underwear work because her body is smoking hot. When you want a tall, blonde, beautiful model to make your clothes look good, call her!

Between modeling gigs, Tyler Glasnow’s girlfriend spends her time with Tyler, her family, and her friends. The couple even vacationed recently in Hawaii. Last year, she traveled to Vancouver to for a little rest and relaxation. The two of them also went to Turks & Caicos in November of 2015. It’s a popular spot for pro athletes to chill in the sun with their hot model girlfriends. The trip included a cruise, and Brooke mentioned it was her first cruise. Also in 2015, Brooke went to an elephant nature park where she met a small elephant. The elephant gave her a little nibble while she carried a basket around.

The couple has been together for over four years. Brooke is only 22 now, but she posted a picture of herself and Tyler together when they were eighteen. Tyler Glasnow’s girlfriend thanked him for making every day better than the last. It’s a classic social media comment and always hits the mark. In May of 2015, Brooke traveled to London with her sister to engage in touristic activities. Her sister is also great looking, of course. They often appear together in pictures on social media, and they are apparently very close. In December of 2014, Tyler and Brooke vacationed at Santa Catalina Island. They ziplined together and looked good doing it.

Jameson Taillon’s girlfriend Claire Petratis traveled a lot recently. Since November 2015, she flew to Houston, Boston, Jamaica, New York, and California. At least two of those trips were vacations. However, it’s possible Claire originally comes from Atlanta since she appears in a family photo there with various happy faces. She clearly retains some close relationships from home and from college. Of course, Claire also lives in Pittsburgh for much of the time since Jameson plays for the Pirates. If you are curious where she graduated college, she posed with her parents in 2016 outside LSU. Jameson originally intended to attend Rice University, but the Pirates lured him with a $6.5 million signing bonus. It’s historical, for the moment, since it’s the second highest in baseball history.

Jameson Taillon’s girlfriend involved herself heavily with fitness while she attended LSU. A fitness club in Baton Rouge hung a commemorative photo of her with a quote. The quote involved an endorsement from her about the club and also a picture of her in the midst of a workout. Of course, no collection of fitness pictures is complete without an Arizona hike photo. In January of 2016, Jameson and Claire traveled to Camelback Mountain. Are there better mountain hikes in the USA? Maybe. Do I know where to find them? No, I do not. I should also note Jameson recently underwent testicular cancer treatment. The operation appears to be successful so far. Everyone feels hopeful and positive. We wish the best for him!

Claire herself seems like a very sweet person. She always posts nice things to her friends and family. She never ever forgets a Father’s Day or Mother’s Day post, of course. Jameson Taillon’s girlfriend also reminds her friends why they’re special to her, and Jameson gets a lot of attention from her on social media. The couple love to go on vacations and do fun activities. They paddled down a river back a few years ago, and since Jameson is a big boy he did most of the heavy work. Claire joked she didn’t know she was supposed to paddle. Good life!
